In order to resolve this, you can perform the following steps

1. Open “Central Administration“
2. “Manage services applications”.
3. under application management Stop and start the “Secure store service” .
4. Open “Inetmgr” and select “SecurityTokenServiceApplicationPool” and do restart.
5. Perform IIS reset.
